A blend of California brandy and funky Jamaican-style rum. Fresh lemon juice blended with English Breakfast black tea, and an in-house lemon zest syrup. Topped off with an in-house nutmeg tincture.

An American Cocktail
A 300 year old recipe, known in cocktail-circles as the Philadelphia Fish House Punch, made famous by it's inclusion in George Washington's diary around the time of the Revolutionary War. We collaborated with Leandro DiMonriva aka the Educated Barfly to bottle this cocktail for the first time in its storied history. A blend of California brandy and funky Jamacian-style rum are dominant but fun. We produced a pre-prohibition style lemon zest syrup or sherbet by macerating the oils from the peels of lemons, along with the juice and sugar to create a richer, deeper taste. That's balanced with the acidity of the fresh lemon juice and the dryness of an English Breakfast black tea. Classical punches were often topped with freshly-grated nutmeg so we made our own nutmeg infusion to be historically accurate and also add the final dimension to this elegant cocktail.
